My family has been in the jewelry business for 66 years. I'm just getting started.

Today’s Jewelry: Heart Day Edition

I was feeling kind of tough on Valentine’s Day this year, rather than sweet and lovey and saccharine. I so like to buck tradition. As a result, I donned leather and studs and topped it off with a whole bunch of gold heart jewelry - because I couldn’t seem to give up the theme of the day entirely.

18 kt Layered Heart Necklace inherited from Mom

This is one of my very favorite pieces of jewelry, ever. I love any kind of motif “by the yard”, which is the Tiffany’s term for diamonds strung on a length of chain. Eventually I’ll reproduce this piece in a more afforable version so it can be enjoyed by all. Super easy to wear and adds dimension, not to mention LOTS OF LOVE, to any outfit.

14 kt gold Heart Plate on a chain with TJD Peace Fingers with Stones ($230)

The Heart (price available upon request) is from the Estate collection. It’s on a 14 kt gold chain with with one of the first pieces I ever carved back at Sarah Lawrence, the Signature Collection’s peace fingers. I’ve been wearing this combo all month. Peace and Love babies, it’s as simple as that.

Citrine, seed Pearl, and Enamel Victorian Style Ring

An Estate piece given to me by my parents, this guy has been a part of my personal collection for years. It has beautiful filigree on the sides and some rose gold detailing. It takes up my whole pointer finger while still being comfortable. Love, love, love.

Gold Textured Bangles  from various sources including Mom, Melt-Down-Box and Kate Spade. Gold Rolex on Leather Band - a gift from dad. Chevron Cuff ($90) from TJD’s Second Season: Bridges Collection. Black Onyx Knuckle Cover - See previous Today’s Jewelry post. LOVE this puppy. Super tough.

Yeah, yeah. Hearts all over. At the end of the day, I’m a sucker for love. Happy February everybody.
